Operating current trips for Residual current operated circuit-breaker with integral overcurrent protection 1+N Type A
Operating current trips enable the remote tripping of, e.g. miniature circuit-breakers. The operating current trip is activated by an operating current from an external voltage source. The FAM 1 remote tripping module is a tripping device for residual current operated circuit-breakers with integral overcurrent protection (RCBOs, single-pole+N) as well as for miniature circuit-breakers from series ELS 3. The remote tripping module contains one resistor and one interrupter contact in a 0.5 unit wide, retro-fittable housing. When a voltage of 230 V or 400 V is switched on via the resistor and a tripping current is generated, the residual current operated circuit-breakers with integral overcurrent protection and rated residual currents up to 0.3 A are safely switched off, even when long cable lengths to remote switches or contacts have been laid. Remote switch-off takes place when an external contact is used to switch on a voltage; no remote test is performed. A standard-compliant tripping test is therefore not carried out. After the circuit-breaker trips, the interrupter contact prevents the tripping voltage from being diverted to the consumer system as long as the switch remains closed (safety shutdown).
retrofittable, compact design
mounting to the left side of the RCBO, quick fastening to mounting rail, any installation position
The FAM 1 is suitable for switching off power supply circuits in residential and purpose-built buildings as well as industrial facilities using fault and hazard alarm equipment.
does not affect the RCBO function, not suitable for operation-relevant switching
